The WeFood Academy – A Tour Through the Factories of Taste will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2025, across the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions of Northeastern Italy.
Organized by the ItalyPost Group, the Academy highlights outstanding agri-food companies in the area and offers selected students the chance to experience centers of excellence firsthand.
The WeFood International Academy is an excellent training opportunity for students of food science and technology, chemical and physical sciences, agricultural and veterinary sciences, tourism sciences, marketing and communication, economics, management, business organization and management engineering.
Through active participation in the event, selected students will have the opportunity to:
- discover some of the most important companies in Northeastern Italy, a region where companies of true excellence in the food, wine and food equipment sectors are located
- participate in guided visits, presentations and meetings with entrepreneurs
- discover and analyse concrete business studies, which will be discussed with entrepreneurs, managers and industry professionals
The Tours dedicated to the Academy Project are always structured to cover various sectors of Food & Wine, in order to highlight the gastronomic excellence of a territory. The selected companies will be announced close to the event, in respect of the interests, passions, and academic backgrounds of the selected students.
Over the years, the students involved in the Academy Project have also had the chance to visit: Acetaia Giusti, Acetaia Malpighi, Adelia Di Fant, L’Antica Quercia, Astoria, Aula Mater, Azienda Agricola Conte Collalto, Azienda Agricola Ivo Gelmini, Azienda Agricola Zucchi Tommaso Tobia, Burbello, Cantina Ongaresca, Capperi… che pizza!!!, Caseificio Castellan Urbano, Corte Capitelli, Distilleria Ceschia, Distilleria Poli, Distilleria Schiavo, Dorbolò Gubane, Fraccaro Spumadoro, Frantoio Bonamini, La Gubana della Nonna, Loison, Maeli, Museo del Caffè Dersut, Museo Luxardo, Naturgresta, Pasticceria Filippi, Riso Melotti, Roteglia 1848, Società Agricola Eleva, Società Agricola La Fagiana, and many others.

The Wefood Academy places particular emphasis on engaging young people from universities around the world, aiming to offer them a unique opportunity for connection, exchange, and learning.
To this end, the organization is offering a selected group of university students the chance to apply for exclusive Experience Programs – a unique opportunity for networking, training, and active participation.
What does the Experience Program include?
There are 100 vacancies available for an experience that includes:
- Guided tours inside some of the most innovative agri-food companies in Northeastern Italy.
- Bus transfers between the different company sites to facilitate participation in all activities;
- Accommodation at partner facilities for the nights of Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1, 2025. Single or double rooms are available upon request with an additional fee;
- Fixed-menu lunches and dinners organized at selected venues chosen by the organizers;
- A collective shared experience with other students from all around the world;
- An exclusive gastronomic experience: all participating students will have the opportunity to lunch or dine at one of the restaurants or pizzerias awarded and listed in the gastronomic guides “Venezie a Tavola,” “Toscana a Tavola,” “Piemonte a Tavola,” “Emilia Romagna a Tavola,” “Milano e Lombardia a Tavola”;
- An official certificate of participation, issued at the end of the initiative, useful for enhancing your Curriculum Vitae.
NB: Travel expenses to and from the city where the WeFood Academy experience begins and ends are the responsibility of the selected students.
The participation fee to access the Experience Program is 320.00 euros and covers the actual organizational costs.
Available vacancies are limited. Submitting an application does not guarantee access to the experience: every request will be reviewed by management, and any confirmation will be communicated by the selection committee.
