Main area of study

The program combines scientific and technical disciplines, starting with fundamentals such as ichthyology, aquatic zoology, botany, ecology, and biochemistry. Applied areas include water quality management, fish genetics and breeding, hydrotechnical construction, design of fish tanks and installations, and species-specific farming (carp, trout, sturgeon, etc.). Students also learn about aquatic ecosystems, soil-water interactions, and sustainable fish stock exploitation in natural and artificial habitats.
