The Master’s program in Management of Forest Ecosystems is designed to develop advanced scientific, professional, and ethical competencies in forestry and environmental resource management.

The Master’s programs is Management of Forest Ecosystems is a two-year study period, full-time education; and concludes with the awarding of a Master’s degree.
This study program was established in 2011-2012, the last accreditation being in 2024, in alignment with ESCO standards.
This academic program is designed to train highly qualified specialists equipped with cognitive, professional, and value-based competencies in the following areas: forest management and planning; implementation and supervision of silvicultural operations; design and execution of forest harvesting activities; provision of expert consultancy in forestry; assessment and sustainable utilization of forest resources; maintenance and rehabilitation of mountain watercourses and torrent control; soil erosion prevention on degraded lands; and the academic preparation of future forestry researchers.
Graduates will be well-equipped for leadership roles in forestry, environmental consulting, public administration, or research institutions, and will possess the necessary foundation to pursue doctoral studies. The program thus supports both professional excellence and scientific advancement in forestry and related fields.
